Iced Almond Mocha and Cacao 2

Start your day with a healthy Iced Almond and Cacao Mocha! by Nicola Richman

This will make you one big glass of mocha…

  • Ingredients 
  • 60g whole almonds
  • 200ml water or replace both the water and the almonds with 200ml readymade almond milk
  • 1 shot of strong, good quality coffee, left to cool
  • 2tsp Creative Nature raw cacao
  • a squeeze of agave (optional)
  • icePop the almonds and water into a blender and blitz for a good 5 minutes. You may need to scrape down the sides halfway through. At the end you should be left with milky, pulpy almond water. Pass it through a fine sieve and there you have it…homemade almond milk.
    Add the coffee, cacao and give it all another blitz with a little squeeze of agave if you like it a little sweeter. Top with ice, pop in a straw and take a big slurp…
